Education Consultant – Learning to Earning (L2E)

About the role

The consultant will support UNICEF Mozambique’s Learning to Earning (L2E) team to consolidate and operationalise the L2E agenda, focusing on strengthening MAZA as the central digital platform for upskilling, coaching and pathway guidance. The role also involves piloting blended roll‑outs, generating evidence on effective approaches, and refining the emerging business model.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate MAZA as the core Learning‑to‑Earning platform, ensuring content organisation and user‑journey alignment.
• Lead the blended rollout of L2E through a MAZA‑based approach in selected contexts, coordinating with field teams and partners.
• Strengthen accreditation processes, develop partnerships, and enhance systems needed to sustain and scale L2E under the Learning, Skills and Engagement Programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Communications, Development Studies or a related social science.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in youth programming, skills development, non‑formal learning, employability or school‑to‑work transition programmes, preferably in low‑ and middle‑income or fragile contexts.

Required skills

• Experience with digital learning platforms and blended learning solutions.
• Proficiency in designing and using dashboards for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Ability to analyse and apply data to improve programme outcomes.
