General Maintenance Personnel – Project Support

About the role

Alistair Group is seeking a General Maintenance Personnel to support the cleanliness and upkeep of its project sites. The role involves maintaining a tidy yard, office, and surrounding areas while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the yard clean, free from litter and pollutants.
• Empty trash cans, ashtrays and dispose of waste correctly.
• Clean, dust, mop and vacuum office floors and carpets, ensuring they are dry before use.
• Wipe desks, chairs, windows, walls, doors and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaners.
• Sanitise restrooms, replenish towels, soap and toilet paper.
• Replace light bulbs, identify minor maintenance issues and assist with simple repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of walkways, parking lots and ensure proper segregation of cleaning items.
• Move heavy equipment or furniture for storage or rearrangement and lock facilities at the end of the day.

Required profile

• Secondary school education.
• Responsible and reliable attitude.
• Basic understanding of hygiene and cleaning practices.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and project managers.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, carpet shampoo).
• Basic maintenance tasks such as light‑bulb replacement.
• Proper mixing of cleaning liquids in safe quantities.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
