Global Markets Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Global Markets Sales Manager to drive the growth of our Global Markets franchise in Mozambique. The role will combine client engagement, product innovation and strategic leadership to expand market share and deliver profitable revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Global Markets Sales function, ensuring direct client interaction and alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.
• Champion digital transformation initiatives to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with key institutional clients, originating structured transactions and risk‑management products.
• Collaborate with Coverage teams across Corporate & Investment Banking, Business Banking and Retail Banking to cross‑sell and deepen client relationships.
• Manage the sales team, implement training programmes and foster a performance‑driven culture.
• Ensure compliance with group and local regulatory frameworks, credit policies and internal standards, achieving a PASS rating on FX trade audits.
• Monitor cost efficiency and achieve product volume, client acquisition and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales of financial market products, preferably within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of structured transactions, risk‑management products and foreign exchange trading.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent and drive a results‑oriented culture.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of building long‑term relationships.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance and risk management.
