Grants and Partnership Manager

About the role

The Grants and Partnership Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of grants and partnership contracts, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and internal policies. This position works closely with internal teams and external partners to manage financial flows, reporting, and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end grant lifecycle, from due diligence to execution, renewal, and close‑out.
• Draft, review, and track contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders, monitoring timelines, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
• Maintain grantee and contractor records in financial systems and serve as the primary contact for onboarding and compliance verification.
• Oversee payment schedules, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely disbursements.
• Reconcile grant payments monthly, support month‑end and year‑end close activities, and assist with audits.
• Develop standard reports on contract status, committed funds, and expenditures, and ensure adherence to donor‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of finance/administration management experience, including at least 3 years in global grant and partnership management.
• At least 2 years of experience in a development or humanitarian context.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Navision or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Strong budgeting, accountancy, and financial reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of major donor requirements (UNHCR, UNICEF, ECW, AICS, etc.).
