Head of School – International School in Maputo

About the role

Enko Education seeks a visionary Head of School to lead its flagship international campus in Maputo. The role focuses on instructional leadership, academic excellence, and compliance with IB, Cambridge, and Mozambican accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive academic excellence and implement Enko learning and teaching standards across all age groups.
• Lead accreditation and re‑accreditation processes for IB, Cambridge/CAIE, and national regulations.
• Recruit, mentor, evaluate and retain high‑quality national and international teaching staff.
• Foster an inclusive professional learning community and champion Enko’s core values.
• Maintain high parent and student satisfaction through clear communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Marketing partners to align business priorities with academic quality.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership or related field.
• Proven experience as Head of School, Deputy Head or Instructional Leader, preferably in IB and/or Cambridge schools.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; ability to work in a Portuguese‑speaking environment.
• Willingness to be based in Maputo or relocate.
• Commitment to expanding high‑quality, affordable international education in Africa.
