Industrial Relations Supervisor

About the role

The Industrial Relations Supervisor will be based on the Afungi site in Northern Mozambique, working on a 28/28 day rotation. This field‑based role supports the implementation of the IR Management System across contractor sites and ensures compliance with labour and community risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with contractors and site management while monitoring IR compliance.
• Verify daily contractor activities against IR procedures and issue performance reports.
• Assist in worker grievance resolution, disciplinary processes, and maintain workforce records.
• Investigate and close IR non‑conformances and field observations.
• Liaise with community relations, H3SE, site services, and contractor HR on labour management, camp operations, and demobilisation planning.

Required profile

• Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years of labour or employment law/industrial relations experience.
• Experience in extractive industry construction, managing diverse workforces and supply chains.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese; local language (Makwe or Makonde) advantageous.
