Information Management Officer (NO-2), Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Information Management Officer will support UNICEF Mozambique in identifying and mapping the most vulnerable children, including those affected by emergencies, by leveraging survey, routine and administrative data. The role contributes to a centralized data system that underpins planning, monitoring and humanitarian coordination across the country office and field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, centralize and validate data from programme sections, field offices and sector clusters.
• Produce GIS maps and visualisations of vulnerable populations and disaster‑affected areas.
• Support the development of a decentralized monitoring system by enabling performance data aggregation.
• Collaborate with Planning and Monitoring specialists, programme chiefs and cluster coordinators to ensure data needs are met.
• Assist in the analysis and dissemination of data for situation monitoring, preparedness and targeting of interventions.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent experience in information management, geography, statistics or a related field.
• Experience working with data collection, management and GIS mapping in development or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders across programme and field teams.
