IT Associate (Full-time)

About the role

The IT Associate provides first‑line end‑user support and contributes to the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of the school’s technology infrastructure, cybersecurity controls and information systems. This role reports to the Lead IT Specialist and ensures compliance with organisational standards and service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all IT incidents and service requests, maintaining the help‑desk system.
• Support planning, design, implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure including networks, cloud services, telephony, devices and security systems.
• Implement cybersecurity policies, conduct security assessments, penetration testing and support incident response.
• Evaluate, implement and maintain approved information systems, education technology and digital transformation solutions.
• Assist with data warehouse and analytics tool operations for reporting and ensure data security compliance.
• Track lifecycle and licensing of IT assets, supporting procurement, deployment and disposal.
• Contribute to technology projects, ensuring delivery within scope, quality, budget and timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors, monitor service levels and review performance.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including backup and recovery testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support.
• Relevant technical certifications are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
