Livelihoods Officer – Project Implementation (Level 3)

About the role

The Livelihoods Officer (Level 3) will lead the implementation of agricultural and livelihood activities in a designated district. Working closely with district agriculture services and partner organisations, the officer will ensure that project interventions improve food security and resilience for vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor field activities, including distribution of inputs, poultry, and formation of farmer groups.
• Supervise smallholder farmers, provide training, conduct field visits, and ensure timely delivery of project materials.
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to review data, assess progress, and design technical assistance to close gaps.
• Establish and maintain communication channels with district‑level government and agricultural authorities to promote project sustainability.
• Represent the project at community, district, and provincial meetings, presenting activities and outcomes.
• Set up information and feedback mechanisms to share achievements and challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural or livelihood project implementation.
• Strong management, supervisory, and capacity‑building abilities.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; proficiency in Portuguese and English is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, with high motivation and interest in advocacy and well‑being.
• Good interpersonal skills, cross‑cultural sensitivity, and proactive initiative.
