Logistic Specialist & Coordinator

About the role

Progeco is looking for a Logistic Specialist & Coordinator to support a major oil & gas client on an international project in Maputo. The role focuses on managing the flow of project materials, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth import/export operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate in‑house and international shipments of equipment and materials.
• Manage import/export activities, customs clearance, and compliance with local regulations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs brokers and logistics service providers.
• Monitor shipment status and oversee land, sea and air transportation.
• Support warehouse operations, material receiving and handling.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Material Management, Construction and Project teams.
• Prepare logistics reports and delivery status updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or material management.
• Background in Oil & Gas, EPC, Energy, LNG or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced C1 level proficiency in English and Portuguese.
• Residence in Maputo or surrounding areas.

What we offer

• Employment contract under the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement.
• Gross salary range MZN 128,000 – 170,000 per month.
• Full‑time onsite work (8 hours/day, 5 days/week) in Maputo.
