Maintenance Superintendent – Mozambique

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations across five permanent camps in Mozambique. The role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and reliability of all assets while managing contractors under SLA and KPI requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and water systems.
• Oversee diesel/gas generators, solar PV systems and commercial kitchen, canteen and recreational facilities.
• Lead and control maintenance contractors, monitor performance, non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Conduct daily inspections, quality spot checks and ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, Working at Height and Confined Space procedures.
• Prepare daily/weekly maintenance reports and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in facilities, building services or maintenance.
• Minimum 8 years in a Maintenance Superintendent or Senior Supervisor role.
• Proven experience managing multiple remote accommodation camps supporting several thousand occupants.
• Strong client‑side contractor management under SLA/KPI frameworks.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and water systems.
• Experience with diesel/gas generators, solar PV, fire and life safety systems.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen, canteen and recreational facility maintenance.
• Proficiency in CMMS tools such as Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, Fiix or equivalent.
• Understanding of PTW, LOTO, Working at Height and Confined Space safety requirements.
