Market Developer

About the role

The Market Developer will support Sasol’s growth in Mozambique by analysing market trends, customer data and competitive dynamics. You will work closely with marketing, sales and finance teams to improve product positioning and drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and customer scanning, maintaining up‑to‑date SWOT and PESTLE analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual marketing budget and align it with the sales and operational planning process.
• Compile, verify and publish weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior management and the board.
• Profile and segment customers, support negotiations and ad‑hoc projects with financial and statistical analysis.
• Track sales against forecasts, produce detailed sales forecasts and monitor budget compliance.
• Maintain accurate customer master data and pricing information in SAP, including bill of material verification.
• Handle order processing, invoice queries, credit/debit notes and support month‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with contract management, competition law and internal controls.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market research and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple reporting cycles.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and support team members.
