MCC & Reporting Officer

About the role

The MCC & Reporting Officer will lead the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) at our Dondo plant, ensuring reliable operations, effective maintenance planning, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and control all activities inside the MCC.
• Implement and maintain Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) programmes.
• Analyse daily EAM‑PM notifications, create work orders and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Maintenance and Production managers.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance plans and spare‑part strategies.
• Coordinate investment projects and ensure accurate data entry into the EAM‑PM system.
• Identify “bad actors” using EAM‑PM analytics and propose corrective actions or investments.
• Research new maintenance technologies to increase equipment reliability and reduce costs.
• Oversee predictive and preventive maintenance plan enhancements.
• Prepare and verify maintenance reports for the Maintenance Manager.
• Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and drive decision‑making.
• Improve plant performance, reduce dust emissions and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Promote health & safety protocols, participate in weekly safety meetings and address unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
• Minimum 2 years of plant maintenance experience, preferably with large rotating heavy‑industry machinery.
• Knowledge of predictive, preventive, corrective maintenance and RCFA methodologies.
• Willingness to provide off‑shift and weekend coverage as needed.
• Proven project development and management abilities.
• Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Capability to supervise and troubleshoot diverse technical and operational problems.
