Mechanical Fitter (Hybrid)

About the role

This full‑time hybrid position is based in Mozambique and focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of machinery and equipment. The Mechanical Fitter will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that all assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment according to schedule.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective repairs.
• Execute fitting processes and adjustments to ensure proper machine alignment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to the engineering team.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve equipment performance.

Required profile

• Proficiency in machining and fitting processes and techniques.
• Experience with preventive and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to handle and repair a variety of machinery.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is advantageous.
