Mineral Process & Beneficiation Engineer (Tete)

About the role

The Mineral Process & Beneficiation Engineer will lead laboratory and mill operations at the Tete mining site, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement to meet and exceed key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement laboratory and mill operating procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate plant performance, conducting test and survey programs to improve throughput, recovery and cost efficiency.
• Identify and promote continuous improvement initiatives to surpass KPIs.
• Prepare daily shift process balances, operational reports and guidelines for operators.
• Manage the mill metallurgical laboratory and site assay laboratory.
• Assist the project team with safety documentation, identify risks and develop mitigation measures.

Required profile

• University degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of mining process plant operations experience in base or precious metals, specializing in mineral processing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and comprehend technical plans and specifications.
• Strong coordination, proactivity, teamwork and high responsibility.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is desirable.
