Operation Advisor

About the role

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking an Operation Advisor to support the performance and reliability of power plant assets. The role involves monitoring engine and generator behaviour, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse performance data of engines, generators and auxiliaries, tracking variables such as temperature, power output, pressure differential and heat rate.
• Identify issues, advise corrective actions and support troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in planning and execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including overhauls.
• Provide operation updates and detailed reports to customers and back‑office teams.
• Manage site safety in accordance with Wärtsilä and local regulations, including subcontractor oversight.
• Coordinate with technical centres, conduct root‑cause analysis and document findings.
• Maintain technical documentation from equipment suppliers for internal and external use.
• Lead assigned teams during work execution and ensure compliance with specifications and policies.

Required profile

Required skills

• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to produce detailed technical reports and documentation.
