About the role
The World Food Programme is seeking a Partnerships Officer (CST II) to support strategic engagement with International Financial Institutions, Development Finance Institutions and government partners in Mozambique, contributing to the new Country Strategic Plan (2027–2030).
Key responsibilities
- Lead identification and prioritisation of strategic partnership opportunities with IFIs, DFIs and government.
- Maintain and update comprehensive mapping of IFIs/DFIs, including financing instruments, pipelines and eligibility criteria.
- Design and implement tailored engagement strategies for priority partners such as the World Bank and AfDB.
- Develop concept notes, proposals and investment cases to support resource mobilisation.
- Gather and analyse partner intelligence, produce briefs on donor priorities and financing trends.
- Maintain relationships with government donors and coordinate engagement with UN agencies and other partners.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of government, IFI/DFI and donor strategies with experience in multi‑stakeholder partnership development.
- Significant experience in resource mobilisation, proposal development and agreement negotiation, providing strategic advice to senior management.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce.
- Experience using Grants360 corporate system.
