Project Controls Engineer

About the role

The Project Controls Engineer will join the MZLNG Onshore Project Services team, supporting the construction of the Mozambique LNG facility. Based on the Afungi site, the position operates on a rotational schedule and reports to the Onshore Project Service Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Report project progress, cost opportunities, threats and manage change processes for on‑site construction activities.
• Coordinate risk management processes and verify EPC contractor construction progress, invoicing and deliverables.
• Assist on‑site planning teams in schedule interfaces across construction, engineering, procurement and fabrication.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost forecasts and support preparation of presentation and reporting materials.
• Provide Project Controls tools, reports and deliverables consistently for Site Construction Management and the broader Project Controls team.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in major oil and gas projects within Project Controls functions.
• Strong knowledge of major oil and gas project development, partner and government reporting interfaces.
• Excellent organizational ability, deadline orientation and effective communication skills.
