Project Manager – Digital Learning Programme

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of a UNICEF‑funded digital learning programme across four provinces in Mozambique. Reporting to the Country Director, the role oversees roughly 50 e‑learning centres and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, results‑oriented delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of the "Providing Access to Quality Learning through Digital Modalities" programme from May 2026 to August 2027.
• Coordinate activities across Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Gaza and Maputo, ensuring alignment with government systems, consortium partners and UNICEF requirements.
• Supervise Digital Learning Coaches, MEAL staff and technical support personnel, fostering effective teamwork.
• Ensure the Learning Passport and Maza platforms are implemented with fidelity and integrated into classroom practice.
• Monitor progress, produce timely reports and manage programme budgets.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., Education, Development Studies, International Relations).
• Proven experience managing education or digital‑learning projects in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Experience working with NGOs, government agencies and donor partners.
• Strong coordination, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese and the Mozambican context is an advantage.
