Regulatory & Compliance Lead

About the role

The Regulatory & Compliance Lead will develop, implement and coordinate the project regulatory and compliance framework for a major EPC project in Mozambique, ensuring adherence to local regulations, permit conditions and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Regulatory & Compliance Plan and provide strategic input to project leadership.
• Coordinate the full permitting lifecycle, maintain permit registers and compliance trackers, and manage regulatory reporting and renewals.
• Engage with government authorities, stakeholders and JV partners to resolve issues and align project objectives.
• Ensure consistent application of regulatory requirements across engineering, procurement and construction activities.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess impacts, and report compliance status to governance forums.

Required profile

• Lead/Principal‑level experience in regulatory strategy, permitting and compliance within a multi‑disciplinary EPC environment.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage stakeholder relationships and drive risk‑based decision making.
• Strong analytical skills to assess regulatory risks and support audit and inspection processes.
