Senior Cost Controller Officer

About the role

Senior Cost Controller Officer to support project financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management activities for a major international operation. The position is based in Maputo, Mozambique on a 12‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project cost control processes and reporting systems.
• Monitor budgets and review project expenditures.
• Prepare forecasting models, cost reports, and variance analyses.
• Support project managers with financial planning and decision‑making.
• Assess cost trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.
• Participate in audits and financial reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Cost Control or Project Controls.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting tool proficiency.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience within energy, oil & gas, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred.
