Skills Development & Livelihoods Manager

About the role

The Skills Development & Livelihoods Manager will lead the learning‑to‑earning component of a UNICEF‑funded digital learning programme that runs from May 2026 to August 2027 across four Mozambican provinces. The role ensures that digital learning delivered through the Maza platform translates into real employment and entrepreneurship outcomes for young people.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement digital skills and employability pathways for approximately 1,500 youth across 50 centres.
• Collaborate with Digital Learning Coaches to guarantee consistent programme delivery.
• Secure at least 80 internship or employment placements and support 70 youth through entrepreneurship pathways, including start‑up kits and business coaching.
• Align training modules with labour‑market demand and strengthen private‑sector partnerships.
• Monitor and report on outcomes, ensuring relevance, practicality and income‑generation potential of all training activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing youth‑focused skills development or livelihood projects.
• Experience with digital learning platforms and coordinating multi‑site programmes.
• Ability to engage private‑sector stakeholders and align training with market needs.
• Strong monitoring and results‑orientation to achieve internship and entrepreneurship targets.
