Talent Manager

About the role

GiveDirectly is seeking a Talent Manager to lead recruitment, onboarding, learning, and HR operations for its Mozambique field teams. Based in Nampula province, you will work closely with the HR Manager and global recruitment partners to attract and develop a diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for field and office roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks, offers and candidate communication.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build diverse candidate pipelines and maintain standing rosters for high‑volume positions.
• Track recruitment metrics (time to hire, offer acceptance rate, pipeline health) and report updates to the HR Manager.
• Implement a consistent onboarding checklist for new hires, delivering orientation on culture, policies and administrative set‑up.
• Facilitate refresher trainings, support learning needs assessments and coordinate external capacity‑building opportunities.
• Support performance management, maintain confidential personnel files and ensure compliance with local labor law and safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Experience managing full‑cycle recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to track and report recruitment metrics.
• Comfort working in a candid, non‑hierarchical culture that values high ownership.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English to support local and global recruitment activities.
