Visa & Work Permit Coordinator

About the role

The Visa & Work Permit Coordinator provides immigration advice and administrative support to foreign nationals working for TotalEnergies in Mozambique and worldwide. The role ensures that all visa, work permit and related documentation is accurate, compliant and processed in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver immigration guidance and support for work permits, DIRE, work and business visas, mobilization, on‑site assistance and repatriation.
• Coordinate visa‑on‑arrival processes for TotalEnergies employees at Maputo and Pemba airports, in partnership with the Director of Immigration.
• Assist dependents with consular residence visas and accompany applicants to the Directorate of Immigration.
• Identify immigration trends, propose improvements and streamline service delivery.
• Liaise with Mozambique ministries (Foreign Affairs, Finance, Justice) to legalise documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of immigration policies and communicate changes internally.
• Support subcontractors with project‑specific work permit and visa compliance.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payments, reimbursements, invoicing, reporting and legal document management.
• Prepare overseas travel visas for Mozambican staff and accompany them to consular appointments.
• Maintain accurate databases and act as Local Information Officer for HR data security initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience as an immigration consultant, preferably with multi‑country relocations.
