Driver – Fixed-Term (Humanitarian)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable driver to transport project staff, documents, assets and supplies safely across the province. The role supports our humanitarian mission to assist vulnerable children in challenging environments, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and organisational safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive project personnel to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and organisational policies.
• Transport project documents, assets and supplies as directed by the provincial office and district teams.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (water levels, oil, tire pressure, lights, signalling devices) and report any abnormalities.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it is parked safely according to safety regulations.
• Record daily mileage, fuel consumption and other relevant data in the logbook and prepare monthly fuel expense reports.
• Report accidents or vehicle damage promptly to the program manager or designated substitute.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence and at least a high‑school level education.
• Proven experience as a driver in rural or sub‑optimal road conditions, including vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in humanitarian or development settings is an advantage.
• Certification in defensive driving or basic vehicle mechanics is a plus.
