Procurement Agent (Local Manufacturing)

About the role

The Procurement Agent will manage the end‑to‑end local procurement process that supports BURN’s manufacturing activities in Mozambique. You will ensure timely acquisition of quality goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency, supplier relationships, and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase requisitions and orders, ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and present recommendations for approval.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve best value.
• Conduct market research and vendor due‑diligence.
• Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders to avoid stockouts.
• Coordinate with warehouse and engineering teams for inbound deliveries and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, preferred supplier list, and cash forecasts.
• Perform vendor appraisals and analyze supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 1 year of procurement experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
