Financial Manager

About the role

Construa Lda is looking for a high‑performing Financial Manager to lead the finance function across its operations in Mozambique. This strategic position will be responsible for financial reporting, treasury, compliance and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting, reporting and consolidation for all entities, preparing monthly management reports, dashboards and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements, manage audits and tax compliance.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling to provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Oversee cash‑flow, banking relationships, liquidity and multi‑currency operations, including FX transactions, imports and supplier payments.
• Manage stock finance, margins, costing and profitability to improve financial efficiency.
• Lead and develop a finance and admin team of approximately 29 staff, fostering performance and capability.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Significant senior‑level financial management experience, preferably in retail, construction or multi‑branch operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with ERP systems (Kerridge K8 advantageous).
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English is preferred.
