Provincial Coordinator for ECHO Project in Mozambique

About the role

The Provincial Coordinator will lead the ECHO project’s provincial implementation in Mozambique, providing strategic, technical and operational guidance to strengthen the country‑led HIV response. Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party for Health Systems Strengthening, you will work closely with the Ministry of Health, provincial and district authorities, and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the provincial team in delivering integrated technical assistance across health facilities and communities.
• Promote data‑informed decision‑making and enhance routine data use for program improvement.
• Design and implement quality‑improvement strategies and support patient‑centered service delivery models.
• Ensure all interventions align with national policies and priorities.
• Develop and deliver capacity‑building activities for government counterparts and health‑facility teams, including planning, supervision, data use and performance management.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and foster strong government engagement to sustain program outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health systems strengthening and HIV/AIDS program coordination at provincial or district level.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with government and partner stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of national health policies and data‑driven program management.
