Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper will lead the housekeeping and laundry operations at Avani Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa, ensuring a pristine environment for guests and staff. This senior position combines operational oversight with staff development to uphold the brand’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire housekeeping and laundry functions of the hotel.
• Set, review, and communicate cleaning standards to all housekeeping staff.
• Ensure all public, guest‑facing, and back‑of‑house areas are consistently clean and well‑maintained.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop, update, and distribute departmental SOPs/LSOPs for staff reference.
• Provide effective training and coaching to ensure standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing housekeeping and laundry operations in a hotel setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to create, revise, and enforce SOPs.
