Assistant Information Management Officer

About the role

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Maputo is seeking an Assistant Information Management Officer to support the delegation’s information management framework. The role involves ensuring compliance with IM procedures, maintaining networks with senior staff, and providing technical guidance on IM tools and databases.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with the ICRC information management framework and procedures within the delegation.
• Provide high‑level support to the management team by maintaining contacts and a strategic network of interlocutors.
• Assist in the implementation of information management projects and programmes in Maputo and sub‑sites.
• Maintain and update reference tools, databases and collaborative platforms such as SharePoint.
• Compile, finalise and disseminate technical reports and summaries.
• Brief new staff on IM practices and organise regular training sessions on IM tools and products.
• Ensure staff adherence to IM rules and contribute to the development of new IM practices and products.

Required profile

• University degree in International Relations, Economics, Information Management, Information Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in information management or high‑level administrative support within a multicultural humanitarian setting.
• Ability to travel within Mozambique, particularly to Cabo Delgado.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex functions.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and other collaborative database tools.
• Strong analytical ability to work with diverse datasets.
