Contract Engineer – Business Services

About the role

The Contract Engineer – Business Services will support the CPL Director and C&P Manager in managing contracts for a multinational oil & gas company. You will work closely with the DUET team to create contract dossiers, define responsibilities, and develop contracting strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with DUET to prepare contract dossiers and define contractual responsibilities.
• Develop contracting strategies, issue calls for tenders, and evaluate commercial bids.
• Prepare Recommendations to Award (RTA) and present them to the contracts committee or appropriate approver.
• Maintain and update the contract management tool and share best practices across entities.
• Identify suitable expertise against existing frame contracts and develop technical contracts of medium complexity.
• Assist C&P management in claim and lawsuit settlements, coordinating with legal, insurance, and finance teams.
• Monitor contract status, support renewals and amendments, and provide advice to contract owners.
• Participate in H3SE meetings, trainings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 5‑7 years of contract experience in the oil & gas industry or a similar sector.
• Mid‑level technical competency in contracts and advanced certification on C&P tools.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, legal, and insurance issues.
• Excellent written and spoken English, communication, and basic management skills.
• Advanced human‑relations abilities and proven problem‑solving, planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling skills.
• Residence in the local area is an advantage.
