Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst will evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective and existing corporate clients, ensuring that lending solutions align with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. This position supports the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) credit portfolio by conducting thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive credit risk assessments and interim/annual reviews for assigned clients.
• Assist in structuring lending solutions that address client risks while adhering to credit limits and bank policies.
• Present credit applications at Credit Committee meetings and respond to sanctioned enquiries.
• Challenge pricing to maximize value, with final approval remaining with Business Heads.
• Ensure full compliance with credit policies, legislation, and address any policy breaches.
• Measure and report covenant compliance during credit application and review processes.
• Maintain accurate data on default grades, loss given defaults, limits and review dates in the bank’s credit systems to drive RWA efficiencies.
• Provide solution‑driven support to business units, balancing growth initiatives with risk considerations.

Required profile

• Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce or Management Studies (required).
