Deputy Cost Control Manager

About the role

The Deputy Cost Control Manager will support the Cost Control Manager in overseeing project‑wide cost stewardship for owners' expenses. This role acts as the finance interface, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the life of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cost Control Manager and step in as delegate when required.
• Coordinate a team of owners' cost controllers to implement effective cost controls.
• Manage owners' cost budgeting, forecasting, change management, cost reporting, commitment tracking, invoice verification and cash‑flow projections.
• Consolidate monthly owners' cost reports and prepare annual budgets and updates.
• Support scope owners and budget holders in identifying cost threats and opportunities.
• Interface with the Finance Department to verify monthly accruals, prepare cash calls, handle audit requirements and reconcile inter‑company invoicing.
• Lead weekly finance‑cost control meetings to align on key actions.
• Ensure all project costs comply with recoverability requirements and SAP cost control structures.

Required profile

• Solid experience in cost control within large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance and project teams.
• High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
