Landfall Field Engineer / Onshore Works Lead (Night Shift)

About the role

The Landfall Field Engineer / Onshore Works Lead will manage night‑shift onshore activities at the Beach Landing Area (BLA) in Afungi, Mozambique. Reporting to the Afungi Upstream Installation/Construction Manager, the role ensures safe, on‑time and budget‑conscious delivery of civil and pipeline works for a multi‑billion‑dollar project.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contractors performing land preparation, excavation, foundations, pipeline and umbilical pull‑ins, and BVS/BCA installation.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning activities and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.
• Monitor schedule, cost, technical quality and safety performance against the execution plan.
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders and raise mitigation measures for critical issues.
• Conduct readiness reviews, equipment inspections and interface issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in onshore civil and pipeline construction, preferably in offshore energy projects.
• Strong leadership skills to manage multi‑disciplinary contractor teams.
• Ability to work night‑shift rotations (28/28) on an offshore camp.
• Familiarity with HSEQ management systems and project reporting.
