Large Scale Private Sector & Investment Development Manager – Mozambique

About the role

TechnoServe is looking for an experienced private‑sector development professional to lead enterprise growth and investment‑readiness activities under the Green Value for Growth (GV4G) programme in Mozambique. The Large Scale Private Sector & Investment Development Manager will head a team that provides business advisory and technical assistance to agribusinesses of all sizes, helping them strengthen operations, become investment‑ready, access finance and expand inclusive business models that benefit smallholder farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of business advisory and technical assistance services to small, medium and large agribusinesses.
• Support companies in improving operational efficiency, investment readiness and access to finance.
• Facilitate the development of inclusive business models that create market opportunities for smallholder farmers and rural entrepreneurs.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high‑quality outputs aligned with GV4G objectives.
• Collaborate with programme partners, donors and government agencies to promote green investment and climate‑smart practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private‑sector development, agribusiness value chains or investment facilitation.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work with SMEs, including women‑ and youth‑led enterprises.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of agribusiness value chains (e.g., soy, cashew, coffee).
• Understanding of investment readiness frameworks and finance mobilization.
• Experience with climate‑smart agriculture and regenerative practices.
