Layer 3 Security Coordinator (English, Portuguese, Swahili)

About the role

The Layer 3 Security Coordinator will oversee convoy and logistics security for the Mozambique LNG Project, a large‑scale on‑shore LNG development in northern Mozambique. Reporting to senior security management, the coordinator ensures that all movements comply with safety, security and regulatory standards while supporting the project's socioeconomic and stabilization goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Layer 3 convoy and logistics movements across the project site.
• Implement VPSHR and HSE standards throughout security operations.
• Conduct daily security assessments, produce threat level reports and monitor incident escalation.
• Liaise with military, police, contractors and local authorities to arrange escorts and convoy approvals.
• Oversee contractor convoy organization and escort arrangements.
• Support socioeconomic and stabilization activities in assigned areas.
• Monitor compliance with TEPMA1 security SOPs and convoy regulations.

Required profile

• Military or police background, minimum Senior NCO level.
• Experience working with security forces, contractors and joint operations in high‑risk environments.
• Fluent in English, Portuguese and Swahili (local language knowledge an advantage).
• Valid driver’s licence, passport and no criminal record.
• Ability to work in remote tropical conditions with 24/7 operational readiness.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including Windows operating system.
• Familiarity with reporting tools for security incident documentation.
