Legal Specialist – Telecommunications & Corporate Governance

About the role

Vodafone is seeking a Legal Specialist to provide comprehensive legal, regulatory and corporate governance support to its Mozambique Tower Company (TowerCo). You will act as the primary legal counsel to the Board, executive management and business functions, ensuring compliance with Mozambican law, licence conditions and shareholder agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, infrastructure agreements and land rights documents.
• Manage litigation, develop strategies and oversee external counsel performance.
• Support the implementation of the governance framework, including the Shareholders Agreement, Articles and Board Charter.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, competition, public procurement and project financing matters.
• Interact with regulators, shareholders, public institutions and obtain necessary licences.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB) with registration at the Bar Association (OAM) preferred.
• Proven experience in corporate, commercial and telecommunications law.
• Strong judgment, strategic thinking and ability to work independently.
• High integrity, ethical standards and fluency in English and Portuguese.
