P&C Drilling Lead

About the role

Comsip, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies Oil & Gas, provides technical resources for industrial projects worldwide. It is recruiting a P&C Drilling Lead in Maputo, Mozambique, for a 12-month minimum assignment starting 01/12/2026, renewable. The role leads and organizes the drilling wells and logistics activities of the Contracts and Procurement entity, ensuring compliance with the company's Code of Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and control the Contracts and Procurement function daily, supervise its strategy and lead cost optimization using market intelligence, supplier evaluations and cost models.
• Lead Duet/Triplet meetings with partners and technical managers, coordinate workload and maintain the necessary competencies.
• Manage the DW Contracts and Procurement team, prepare procurement planning, supervise technical contracts and purchase orders, and handle purchase requisitions.
• Maintain supplier databases, run selective contractual audits, intervene in legal settlements and define and monitor KPIs.
• Manage budgets for studies of 1 to 3 million dollars and oversee activities of 30 to 500 million dollars related to CAPEX and major risk.
• Deliver high-quality dossiers, advise on vendor and equipment selection, and report activity to C&P management.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent (Level 7).
• 10-15 years of experience, including excellent knowledge of supply chain.
• International experience is required.
• Understanding of project management, exploration, drilling, engineering and field operations, with excellent negotiation skills.
• Team spirit and communication; ability to convince others with technical arguments.

Required skills

• Advanced Contracts and Procurement (C&P) tools certification required.
• Contractual expertise in the domain.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of other technical competencies.
