Private Sector Partnership Manager (Soy / Nacala Corridor)

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a Private Sector Partnership Manager to lead engagement with soy market actors across the Nacala Corridor in Mozambique. The role will support the development of commercially viable, climate-smart soy market systems linked to regenerative agriculture, aggregation, processing and domestic market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage partnerships with soy processors, aggregators, commercial farms, input suppliers, mechanisation providers and financial institutions.
• Support inclusive sourcing and out-grower models that promote regenerative agriculture.
• Identify and facilitate commercial opportunities for processing, aggregation and market expansion.
• Coordinate co-investment arrangements and partnership agreements.
• Facilitate linkages between producer groups, SMEs and commercial buyers.
• Conduct market assessments and identify bottlenecks in the soy value chain.
• Work with agronomy and enterprise teams to improve production, quality, traceability and commercialization.
• Promote climate-smart and regenerative agriculture practices across partner networks.
• Support market-system coordination with sector associations and corridor stakeholders.
• Contribute to programme reporting, learning and adaptive management and represent GV4G in local forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience working with agribusiness value chains, private-sector partnerships and investment facilitation.
• Strong understanding of soy markets, regenerative agriculture and climate-smart practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Experience in partnership development and co-investment structuring.
• Ability to conduct market assessments and value-chain analysis.
• Knowledge of traceability systems and quality standards for soy.
