Regional Sales Representative

About the role

The Regional Sales Representative will drive the execution of DStv's new business plan across the assigned region, generating customer sales and leading a local sales team. This role combines strategic planning, channel management, and hands‑on distribution activities to achieve growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire customers across multiple channels.
• Create regional customer data profiles and segmentation databases.
• Establish sales clusters with detailed forecasts and set target numbers.
• Project sales volumes and profit for existing and new products.
• Optimize supply‑chain processes and manage stock movement.
• Lead and coordinate channel agencies, ensuring maximum field coverage.
• Generate and review system‑based performance reports.
• Address regional challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead product sales, promote cross‑functional synergies, and monitor competitor activities.
• Implement the channel growth roadmap and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Build strong relationships with channel partners and explore new distribution opportunities.
• Plan and execute direct sales and marketing activities at dealer, modern trade, and key retail outlets.
• Ensure compliance with customer data privacy and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Proven ability to meet sales targets and implement business plans.
• Experience in sales pricing, planning, operational forecasting, and partner management.
• Demonstrated leadership of sales teams and channel agencies.
• Strong analytical skills for forecasting, reporting, and market research.
• Ability to develop customer segmentation and drive product sell‑in.
• Knowledge of distribution channels, modern trade, and retail outlets.
