Senior Contract & Claims Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Contract & Claims Engineer to join our team in Mozambique. The role is strategic, supporting the management of commercial contracts, contractual risks, claims and dispute prevention across logistics, port, transportation, mining and energy activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage contractual claims, change orders, variations and contractual notifications.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial and operational risks.
• Support bid preparation, tenders and commercial negotiations.
• Review liability, indemnity and insurance provisions.
• Advise management and operational teams on contractual matters.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Commercial Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, claims management or commercial management.
• Experience in logistics, ports, transportation, mining, energy, construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Fluent English (mandatory); Portuguese and/or French are an advantage.
