Senior Electrical Engineer – 10+ Years Experience

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer role is a full‑time, on‑site position leading the design and review of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with relevant codes, safety standards, and client requirements while providing technical guidance to project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and validate electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Coordinate power distribution and power systems designs, including panel boards, feeders, and distribution networks.
• Perform technical calculations, load analyses, and protection coordination.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and architectural teams to integrate electrical solutions.
• Support project managers with technical input and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in site inspections, resolve construction‑phase technical issues, and ensure quality compliance.
• Contribute to value‑engineering studies and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience in electrical engineering for construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of international and local electrical codes and standards.
• Effective communication and ability to work on‑site, manage multiple tasks, and take ownership of technical decisions.

Required skills

• Electrical design for buildings and infrastructure.
• Power distribution systems (panel boards, feeders, networks).
• Power systems analysis, load calculations, protection coordination, and reliability considerations.
• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design software.
• Familiarity with BIM tools (advantage).
