Technical Field Services Engineer (Oilfield Chemicals)

About the role

Versalis International is seeking a Technical Field Services Engineer specialized in oilfield chemicals to supervise and coordinate chemical treatment operations for its customers in the Pemba district of Mozambique. Reporting to the Branch Manager and the local Project Coordinator, the engineer will act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring that all services meet contractual and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise oil & gas chemical treatment operations across the region.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, guaranteeing timely and appropriate service delivery.
• Prepare technical reports based on customer requests and coordinate subcontractors and corporate resources.
• Conduct performance testing of chemicals in a laboratory environment when required.
• Manage activities of all subcontractors and internal resources involved in field operations.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, focusing on chemical treatments and services.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional level English (B2).
• Strong communication, analytical abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and willing to travel as needed.
