Area 2 Manager - Flare & Vent System (back to back role)

About the role

The company is delivering a major LNG greenfield development and seeks an experienced Area 2 Manager to lead the execution of flare and vent systems, water treatment, propane storage and API tanks. You will be responsible for safe, high‑quality, schedule‑compliant delivery from construction through pre‑commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site construction activities for the assigned area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Drive HSE leadership across client, EPC and subcontractor teams.
• Oversee installation readiness, construction, and interface management of LNG‑related systems.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations and implement mitigation actions with the EPC contractor.
• Support pre‑commissioning and SIMOPS activities, reviewing method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are applied and continuously improved.
• Report progress, risks and issues to project management.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics for critical equipment.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations and permitting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
• 15+ years experience on large‑scale industrial projects, with at least 5 years in construction management or leadership.
• Proven track record on greenfield EPC projects in LNG, refinery, petrochemical, GTL or gas processing.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, construction execution and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Portuguese or French is a plus.
