Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – FMCG – Central Africa

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead a leading agricultural inputs and agribusiness platform across Central Africa. Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for strategic direction, operational performance and full profit‑and‑loss accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long‑term growth strategy, transforming the business from a fertilizer‑centric model into a diversified agricultural solutions platform.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility, delivering revenue, profitability and gross‑margin targets while optimizing working capital.
• Lead commercial expansion, building distribution networks, strategic partnerships and customer‑engagement programmes.
• Oversee manufacturing sites, driving lean production, continuous improvement and compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure robust capital allocation, investment decisions and governance aligned with Board priorities.

Required profile

• Proven transformational leadership experience in a multi‑site agribusiness or FMCG environment.
• Demonstrated ability to scale operations, drive commercial growth and manage large P&L budgets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with boards, investors and regional partners.
• Experience in leading cross‑functional executive teams, including finance, operations, HR and commercial functions.
