Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead national waste operations, multi‑site capital projects, logistics, and compliance across its industrial portfolio. The COO will shape long‑term infrastructure strategy, drive ESG performance, and foster a safety‑first culture for up to 1,400 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Lead waste operations, treatment facilities and landfill management aligned with growth and ESG targets.
• Direct multi‑site capital projects from feasibility through commissioning, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Oversee vehicle fleet scheduling, maintenance, route optimisation and safe transport of hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations and ISO certifications; manage audits and regulatory interfaces.
• Manage asset lifecycles, CAPEX/OPEX budgets, cost‑reduction initiatives and site financial performance.
• Implement telemetry, digitisation, ERP systems and data‑driven operational tools across all regions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team, promoting a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• MBA or Master’s in Technical Operations preferred.
• 10+ years senior operations leadership experience in multi‑site infrastructure.
• 5+ years experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Background in waste management, industrial services or logistics.
• Proven track record delivering large capital projects and managing workforces up to 1,400 staff.
