Contracts Manager – Mega Projects (Maputo, Mozambique)

About the role

Our client, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor specialised in oil, gas and natural gas projects, is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team in Maputo, Mozambique on a 12‑month renewable contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the main EPC contract and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, terms and conditions.
• Administer subcontractor and supplier contracts, monitoring performance, deliverables and compliance.
• Handle variations and change orders, assessing scope changes, cost and schedule impacts.
• Prepare and manage contractual claims, including extensions of time, additional costs and disruption claims.
• Monitor commercial performance such as contract value, payments and cost exposure.
• Oversee contractual correspondence, notices and deadlines.
• Manage disputes and contractual risk in collaboration with legal and project teams.
• Track project milestones and ensure payment and completion obligations are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of contracts management experience on large‑scale EPC or mega‑projects.
• Proven experience with NEC 3 and FIDIC contract frameworks.
• Ability to pass a site medical and hold a valid passport.
• Willingness to work on a 75‑days‑on/15‑days‑off rotation in Mozambique.
