Country Director – Pemba, Mozambique

About the role

Solidarités International is seeking a Country Director to lead its operations in northern Mozambique, based in Pemba. The role serves as the organisation’s official representative in the country, liaising directly with headquarters and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and implement the country strategy once approved by HQ.
• Coordinate multi‑sectoral teams covering WASH, Shelter/NFI, Food Security and Rapid Response.
• Manage donor relationships and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Oversee resource allocation, budgeting and reporting for all programmes.
• Represent the organisation with local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in humanitarian or development settings.
• Experience managing multi‑sector programmes in conflict‑affected or disaster‑prone areas.
• Strong ability to work with international donors and partners.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
