Crane Electrical Technician (Full‑time)

About the role

DP World is seeking a full‑time Crane Electrical Technician to ensure the safe and reliable operation of crane systems at its facilities. You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and supporting the overall availability of heavy‑equipment assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and discipline in the work area.
• Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and monitoring on cranes and related equipment.
• Diagnose issues and execute repairs to maximise crane operational availability.
• Submit routine inspection and monitoring reports as required.
• Attend breakdowns promptly and generate accurate work orders.
• Coordinate purchase requisitions with the supervisor and ensure workshop tidiness.
• Document start and end times for all maintenance activities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a container seaport or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Grade 12 education with a focus on mechanical systems; a diploma in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Experience working on heavy equipment in ports, mining or steel industries.
• Ability to work at heights and knowledge of lifting chains and ropes.
• Strong familiarity with safety procedures and technical manuals.
