Site Service Manager – LNG Project (Mozambique)

About the role

The Site Service Manager will lead the Site Facilities and Services team for the Mozambique LNG Project, overseeing all camp, utilities, waste and logistics services across the Afungi site. Reporting to senior site leadership, the role is responsible for a multidisciplinary team of roughly 300 staff and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and maintain a strong HSE culture, ensuring full compliance with project safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of 10‑20 direct reports and 300 total personnel.
• Ensure continuous operation of accommodation camps, catering, housekeeping, power, water, wastewater treatment, waste management and landscaping services.
• Manage daily/weekly reporting, KPIs, budget tracking, cost control and procurement activities for the site services scope.
• Review and validate contractor execution plans, procedures and method statements to align with project standards.
• Identify, resolve and report performance, scheduling and contract issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and operations teams to support overall project needs.
• Capture lessons learned and provide structured feedback to improve future site services.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Facility Management or equivalent; professional qualifications strongly preferred.
• 20+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role on large, complex projects.
• Proven ability to manage safety, environmental, cost, schedule, quality and organisational risk dimensions.

Required skills

• Strong safety and HSE leadership at senior level.
• Budget management, cost control and contract oversight experience.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills in English; Portuguese or French is an advantage.
